K3 Construction Group’s roots were first established in 1982 by Jorge Kfoury as JAK Construction, Inc. Jeffrey Martello joined the firm in 1987 to assist in growing the business into a first-class construction company. In 1993 the company expanded into the Baltimore market. Due to another company in that market already having a name similar to JAK the company was renamed Kfoury Construction Group.

As the business continued to grow, so did Mr. Martello’s ownership interest and management responsibilities. In 2006 Mr. Kfoury sold the company to the existing shareholders with Mr. Martello assuming the role of President. Subsequently, the name was changed to K3 Construction Group, Inc. in 2007 to reflect the new management. The name K3 reflects our desire to provide connectivity to our past by incorporating the existing “K” logo, which pays tribute to our history. The number 3 represents the third iteration of the company name, defines the three jurisdictions of operations as DC, MD & VA and identifies the three types of work we engage in as Interiors, New Structures and Renovations. The K3 name also embraces the unbridled growth of future ownership interests.

Mr. Martello continues the journey to build a company that truly lives up to its mission statement to simply “Create Value and Build Relationships”. Our Vision is to “to provide outstanding construction services while creating an environment where success is defined when clients, business partners and individuals achieve their professional goals”.
