In direct response to the recent escalation in fuel costs, effective the week of June 16, 2008, K3 Construction Group will be changing the hours that its office locations are open to Monday through Thursday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. The staff will still be accessible on Friday as a typical work day, but the intent is for them to work from their homes and not travel to the office. This action will immediately result in a 20% reduction in fuel consumption, as employees will be telecommuting from their homes on Fridays. Not only will this improve the quality of life for its employees, it will also reduce the total number of commuters on the road. This change in schedule is being implemented on a trial basis this summer, and is intended to be in effect through August 30, 2008. "We encourage all businesses to follow us in taking action in response to fuel costs that are choking our economy," said Jeff Martello, president of K3. "We will explore options with all of our clients to ensure that their construction needs are met by this new initiative. For some it will work, for others it may not. So far, response has been positive! In all cases, we are committed to providing the same level of professionalism with quality and timely service that K3 Construction Group has been known for!"
