     Title: Kfoury Construction Group Announces Innovative Management Transition
Reston, VA - (January 27, 2006) In an unusual personnel move for a mid-size company, Kfoury Construction Group is borrowing from an HR model typically employed by larger, more complex corporations. President Nick Timreck has announced the promotion of Jeff Martello, currently Executive VP and Operations Director, to President, effective January 31, 2006. Timreck, who started with Kfoury in 1987, will remain, but in a new role as mentor, facilitator and corporate "coach". Martello, who also joined the firm in 1987, has worked in the industry for 30 years. Prior to Kfoury, he worked for several prominent firms, to include Oliver Carr, Trammell Crow, and George Hyman Construction Company.

“A fresh set of eyes and ideas at the helm can only be healthy,” said Timreck. “This transition is a perfect opportunity to further develop our senior leadership, while allowing me time to focus on critical areas of recruiting, employee development, business processes and strategic planning. We have a large volume of business. The market is hot. This is the time to reinvest - to strengthen the company from within.”

This transition illustrates the evolving and entrepreneurial spirit that has shaped Kfoury’s history. Jorge Kfoury founded Kfoury Construction in 1982. During his leadership, he continually demonstrated agility in adjusting to market trends and flexibility not typical in the industry. “Jorge always had a desire to change and improve,” said Timreck. “The culture he created has allowed us to not only stay competitive, but to provide opportunity and professional growth for our employees.”

NICK TIMRECK – Timreck has over 25 years of construction experience and is a recognized expert in pre-construction services. He is an active member of the DC Building Industry Association and is on the Board of Directors of the Reston Chamber of Commerce and the advisory board for INC.spire. Prior to joining Kfoury, Timreck was a commissioned officer in the US Navy after graduating from the University of Hartford and completing graduate studies at Florida State University.

JEFF MARTELLO - As President, Martello has full management responsibility for the company, and leads the company’s project management teams and support staff. With 30 years of construction experience, Martello has worked in a variety of positions for several regional firms in Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD.  Martello graduated from Pennsylvania State University.
